Animations and Graphics Internship
WNED’s ThinkBright TV

The Western New York Public Broadcasting Association has an internship opening for the Summer, 2008. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating animations for broadcast.

Job Description

Students will be assigned animation and graphic projects based on the needs of ThinkBright TV.  Assignments will include a project outline,  detailed description of expectations and deadline date.

Students will be expected to assume the following responsibilities…

• Follow their project outline and lend creative input
• Maintain constant communication with project manger(s) as to the progress of the project
• Create animations and graphics using After Effects 5.5 and Photoshop 8.0
• Meet deadlines assigned by project manager(s)
• Attend meetings concerning their project

 
Requirements

• A Major in Communications, Graphics Arts, Animation  or a related field of study
• Flexible Schedule
• Reliable transportation (free parking available)
• A minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for approx. 10 weeks

Desired Qualifications

• An interest in public television
• Proficient in After Effects 5.5
• Proficient in Photoshop 8.0
• Great organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

All internships are unpaid, but academic credit may be available through your institution. Advance applications for future semesters are accepted.
