Animations and Graphics Internship
WNED’s ThinkBright TV
The Western New York Public Broadcasting Association has an internship opening for the Summer, 2008. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating animations for broadcast.
Job Description
Students will be assigned animation and graphic projects based on the needs of ThinkBright TV. Assignments will include a project outline, detailed description of expectations and deadline date.
Students will be expected to assume the following responsibilities…
- Follow their project outline and lend creative input
- Maintain constant communication with project manger(s) as to the progress of the project
- Create animations and graphics using After Effects 5.5 and Photoshop 8.0
- Meet deadlines assigned by project manager(s)
- Attend meetings concerning their project
Requirements
- A Major in Communications, Graphics Arts, Animation or a related field of study
- Flexible Schedule
- Reliable transportation (free parking available)
- A minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for approx. 10 weeks
Desired Qualifications
- An interest in public television
- Proficient in After Effects 5.5
- Proficient in Photoshop 8.0
- Great organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
All internships are unpaid, but academic credit may be available through your institution. Advance applications for future semesters are accepted.
