Designer Cap by Dawn Hamilton Spreads Message of Hope
The inspirational message on Dawn’s cap reads in part: “Embrace hope ... Celebrate life... Feast on the moment.” Patients were involved in each stage of creating the caps — from initial sketches to final design. The caps were unveiled during The Ride For Roswell on June 27, 2009. A custom cap designed by Dawn Hamilton, WNED’s Vice President for Foundation and Community Development, was one of three chosen for the “New Era New Hope” campaign. This innovative partnership between Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the New Era Cap Co. allows cancer patients to share their stories of hope while raising funds to help fight cancer and support patients.
