The WNED production center is located in downtown Buffalo, in close proximity to I-190.  For our out of town clients, we are only twenty minutes from the Buffalo-Niagara airport, five minutes from the Peace Bridge to Canada and directly across the street from one of Buffalo’s premier hotels.

Studio Production
WNED’s broadcast center is home to one of the largest studios in our three-state area (outside of NYC).  The 21 foot grid height and 6500 square feet of space make it possible to handle productions with large scale sets and/or studio audiences. It has been home to The Mark Russell Comedy Specials for PBS and the New York senatorial debate for MSNBC, as well as numerous rental clients for the production of satellite media tours, webcasts, infomercials and network news programs.  We are fully HD capable with a Ross Vision Quattro (four M/E) switcher, Chyron HyperX2 HD graphics and five Sony HDC-1400 cameras, including three with Autoscript teleprompter units.  Our video control room has been recently upgraded with a new monitor wall and a user-friendly three-tier layout.  Contact us for more details, availability or to get a quote.

Electronic Field Production
WNED has carved a reputation as a major supplier of high-definition (HD), field-produced documentaries for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), which has seen our programs viewed in millions of homes across North America.   National HD productions have included The Adirondacks; The Marines, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Your Life, Your Money and Elbert Hubbard An American Original. Soon to air on  PBS is The War of 1812, a co-production of WNED Buffalo-Toronto and Florentine Films/Hott Productions in association with WETA-TV Washington.

Post Production
WNED offers the finest in Avid based non-linear editing, with two Media Composer Adrenaline suites that are capable of editing/finishing in HD or SD.  Both have the latest versions of Photoshop and After Effects, along with numerous plug-ins.  We also have an Apple Dual Core Zeon, which features Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro.
