Carl Lam

Carl Lam is currently a part-time announcer and host at Classical 94.5 WNED and can be heard hosting the weekly program titled "The Saturday Rounds," and other programming on a fill-in basis.

Also an active orchestral musician, he holds active membership in the Erie Chamber Orchestra, the Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra, the Cheektowaga Symphony Orchestra, the Amherst Symphony Orchestra, the Southern Tier Symphony, the Four Centuries Chamber Orchestra, and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra. His primary teachers have been Dr. David Colwell, Dr. Cyrus Beroukhim, and Ms. Amy Glidden, associate concertmaster of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Through his 19 years of violin study, he has shared the stage with internationally renowned soloists like Yo-Yo Ma and Jeffrey Khaner.

In his role as an adjunct lecturer at Fredonia, he teaches classes to undergraduates in the Audio/Radio Production program. He is an alumnus of Fredonia and graduated with a bachelor of science in Audio/Radio Production and a bachelor of arts in Applied Music and Journalism and will graduate with a Masters in Education from the University at Buffalo in May of 2016.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Western New York Chamber Orchestra, the Fredonia Alumni Association, and the Buffalo Broadcasters Association, where he also serves as the social media manager.
