 MUSIC:

 

12:00 noon The Canadian Opera Company’s Chamber Music Series presents International Scenes featuring The National Ballet Brass Quintet at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Queen Street West in Toronto.  

 

 6:30pm  The BPOvations Lecture series with maestro Paul Ferington presents The Rhine and the East [previewing BPO’s 3/30, 4/12 Concerts] at the Audubon Branch Library on John Audubon Parkway in Amherst.  

 

6:30 pm  The Metropolitan Opera presents Massenet’s Werther transmitted in HD at the Regal Cinema on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, the Regal Cinema on Transit Road in Williamsville and the 1891 Fredonia Opera House on Church Street in Fredonia.   

 

7:30 pm  The Arditti Quartet performs the music of Ligeti and others at Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall on UB’s Amherst campus. 

 

7:30 pm  The Royal Conservatory presents Cunning Little Vixen featuring vocal students of the Glenn Gould School at Koerner [KERR-ner] Hall on Bloor Street West in Toronto.  

 

8:00 pm  The Los Angeles Philharmonic performs the music of Corigliano, Tchaikovsky and others. Gustavo Dudamel conducts at the Roy Thomson Hall on Simcoe Street in Toronto.

7:30 pm  The National Ballet of Canada presents Pushkin’s Onegin at The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Queens Street West in Toronto.
