Gabe DiMaio started in radio as a high school student on Long Island. At Buffalo State College, he worked at the college station, WBNY-FM. While still attending Buff State he worked as an announcer and board operator at WGR AM/FM. Since then he has had experience in all aspects of broadcasting including programming, production, and sales.
He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps; he served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He has also served in the United States Army.
After his military service, he moved back to Buffalo to attend UB Law School and graduated in 2001. His continued love of radio led him a position at WBFO FM, Buffalo as Assistant Program Director, Producer and local host for NPR's All Things Considered.
Gabe is on the Board of Directors for The Public Radio Program Directors Association (PRPD) and is an adjunct faculty member at Buffalo State College and Strayer University. |
