Remembering Toronto

Ten cents a dance … a show at Shea’s Hippodrome … bringing the Stanley Cup home.

Take a nostalgic journey back to a pivotal era in Toronto history (the 1920s through the 1950s). Segments feature Sunnyside Amusement Park, with its historic bathing pavilion; the Canadian National Exhibition and its visions of the future; the theatre block (movie houses, music halls and vaudeville venues); and sports highlights, including Maple Leaf Stadium’s opening day and the Maple Leafs’ winning 1931-32 season.
