Dennis Penman, Board Chair of WNED, announced the appointment of four new members to the WNED Board of Trustees.  Starting their three-year terms in January 2010 are: Michael Giaquinto, Senior Vice President, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York; Timothy Hoover, Attorney, Phillips Lytle, LLP; Brian Keating, Chairman, Western Region Board, HSBC Bank, USA; Michael Rivera, Senior Career Planning and Development Associate, University at Buffalo.

“We are proud to welcome four new trustees whose guidance and insight will help ensure that WNED continues to provide outstanding programs and services to Western New York and Southern Ontario,” said WNED President and CEO Donald K. Boswell.  “We look forward to working with them and benefiting from their unique talents.”

During the most recent Board meeting on October 22, the following Trustees were elected to serve a second, three-year term: Joseph D. McDonald, Maureen Rasp-Glose, and John D. Reinhold.  The Board also approved Officer positions for the new term:  Dennis M. Penman (Chair); William G. Gisel, Jr. (Vice Chair); Theresa E. Quinn, Esq. (Secretary); and Michael R. Winter (Treasurer); Donald K. Boswell (President and Chief Executive Officer); Michael Sutton (Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer); Sylvia Bennett (Senior Vice President, Development); Gordon Bayliss Sales and Marketing); Dawn Hamilton (Vice President, Foundation and Community Development); Nancy Hammond (Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer); David Rotterman (Vice President, Television Production); and Ron Santora (Vice President, Broadcasting and Station Manager).

Other WNED board members serving under their current terms include: Melissa G. Baumgart; Judith Beecher; Daniel M. Boscarino; Carlton Brock, Jr.; Mary Ann Budin; R. Lorraine Collins, Ph.D.; Laura Damon; Mark DePalma; Randy Epstein, CPA; Joseph D. McDonald; Yvonne Minor-Ragan, Ph.D.; Owen Moy. M.D.; Donald A. Ogilvie; Jennifer J. Parker; John D. Reinhold; David A. Roll and Louise Snyder.  Fred R. Dentinger, Sue M. Wardynski, Robert M. Greene, Mary Ann Lauricella, and Kevin T. Keane serve as Chair Emeriti.
