BUFFALO, N.Y. – As part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival series, WNED-TV will air “Great Performances: Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park” on Friday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m.

Accompanied by the New York Philharmonic and the Westminster Symphonic Choir, Andrea Bocelli presents a varied repertoire that includes his best-known and best-loved songs.  Widely regarded as the most popular Italian tenor in the world and with more than 70 million albums sold, Bocelli performs a free concert on Central Park’s Great Lawn to an audience of over 75,000 fans.

Joining Bocelli on stage for this memorable night are Céline Dion, Tony Bennett, Chris Botti and David Foster.  Sopranos Ana María Martínez and Pretty Yende, violinist Nicola Benedetti, bass baritone Bryn Terfel and flutist Andrea Griminelli are also part of the spectacular evening.

Bocelli’s musical selection on the program will include “Ave Maria ‘Ellens dritter Gesang,’” “The Prayer,” “New York, New York” and “Time To Say Goodbye.”
