BUFFALO, N.Y. - WNED AM 970, in partnership with BlueCross BlueShield of WNY, presents “Good For You,” a live radio series dedicated to healthy living.
The first program will air Thursday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. on WNED AM 970 as a special edition of “Forum”. WNED’s Jim Ranney will lead the hour-long panel entitled “A Primer on Your Health Care Team,” which will include three well-respected primary care physicians from Western New York. The panelists are Dr. Thomas Rosenthal, Dr. Tom Dilamarter and Dr. Dawn Gais will discuss the importance of primary care.
By the end of the program, listeners will have a better understanding of the role of primary care in health care. They will know what to expect from their primary care provider, learn simple tips on how to develop and foster a better relationship with their health care team, and understand what we, as patients, can do to improve our health and impact the quality of the care we receive.
A health expo and buffet lunch start at 11:30 a.m., followed by the live broadcast in the WNED Studios. The event is free but seating is limited. Visit bcbswny.com/wned to register. A second program, focusing on senior health, is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2011.
