BUFFALO, N.Y. – Classical 94.5 WNED announced that Peter Johnson has been selected to host “Morning Classics” weekdays from 6 – 10 a.m.
“We are thrilled to have Peter Johnson join our station,” said Gabe DiMaio, Classical 94.5 WNED program director. “He has an excellent reputation in the public radio world and has the knowledge and passion of classical music broadcasting to offer a really special morning show. I think that our listeners will be very pleased.”
Johnson has served in a variety of classical hosting roles over the past 25 years including WDAV-FM, Davidson, N.C.; WSHU-FM, Fairfield, Conn.; WGBH-FM, Boston; KAJX, Aspen, Colo. and most recently KUNC, Greeley, Colo. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science from Boston University.
His on-air hosting debut will take place on Thursday, Oct. 4.
