BUFFALO, N.Y. – MASTERPIECE MYSTERY! presents the new “Wallander III” series on WNED-TV airing Sundays at 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 30.   

Kenneth Branagh (My Week with Marilyn, Henry V, Hamlet) returns as Inspector Kurt Wallander, the moody Swedish detective, in three new 90-minutue whodunits. “Kenneth Branagh outdoes himself in series 3,” says MASTERPIECE Executive Producer Rebecca Eaton. “No one else matches him in sheer soul-stirring emotion.
