WBFO Names Debo News Director
WBFO has named Dave Debo to the position of News Director, effective April 2, 2018.
Debo will be responsible for WBFO’s daily news reporting in broadcast and digital forms. He will work with senior managers to enable WNED | WBFO to continue to be a valued and critical community news and information service.
Debo has nearly three decades of experience in journalism, including stints in radio, television, print and digital. Since 2005, he has been an anchor and reporter for WBEN Radio, and the moderator of “Hardline,” its weekend news program.
Previously, he worked for WGRZ-TV, WIVB-TV and Business First in Buffalo. Debo also has experience with public radio, including WBFO’s predecessor stations.
“Dave has a deep knowledge of Western New York’s key issues, and will play an important role in further strengthening WBFO’s news reporting,” said Dave Rosenthal, Senior Director of News & Public Affairs at WNED | WBFO.
