WBFO’s Buffalo Blues Bash Gets a “Fresh Start”

The exceedingly popular Buffalo Blues Bash is set to take the stage again at WNED | WBFO Studios for the fun-filled one-night concert. The concert begins at 7 pm, Saturday, Oct. 5. Doors open at 6:15 pm.

Headlining the night is 2019 International Blues Challenge winner, Ms. Hy-C & Fresh Start. The Blues Daddios will open the show.

Ms. Hy-C & Fresh Start, led by Saint Louis born, Jacinta Branch-Griffin, exudes a high-energy, soulful, blues entertainment experience with powerful vocals that gets the crowd up on their feet dancing. With a rich history connecting back to Mississippi-born blues legends and pioneers of rock and roll, this well-seasoned band encompasses Chicago blues, rhythm, and soul blues. Their latest single, I’m Going to Memphis, shows their love of the “Real Blues” and determination to follow their dreams.

The Blues Daddios are not your “typical” blues band. They don’t play what everyone else is playing. They play what they like to call “Varsity Blues”. While the Blues Daddios play very dance-able blues from the classic masters like, BB King, Elmore James, Stevie Ray and Buddy Guy, they also mix it up with tunes from The Allman Brothers, Joe Bonamassa and Kenny Wayne Shepard. You may even hear a Jeff Beck tune along with several originals. The Blues Daddios are a great and unique band and a lot of fun to see.
