WNED-FM Welcomes New Morning Host
Classical 94.5 WNED welcomes Mark Swarts as the station’s morning show host beginning Monday, July 9.
Swarts will host the Morning Classics show from 6 to 11 am on Classical 94.5 WNED. Previously, he was a host for Classical 94.5 Evening Classics.
“Mark has been doing wonderful work for us in the evenings,” said Mark Michaud, Program Director at Classical 94.5 WNED. “He sounds great, has terrific passion for the music, and will be the perfect person to bring WNED’s morning show to the next level.”
Swarts began hosting evenings at WNED in January 2017 after a 37 year hiatus from radio broadcasting. He had previously worked as Production Director and morning DJ at WWOL and WACJ, then transitioned into Software Engineering.
His love for music began as a young child listening to records and playing piano. He also performed in chorus and a cappella groups, including a community barbershop quartet.
Swarts is thrilled to be back on the radio and hosting mornings on WNED. “There’s nothing better than a cup of dark roast and Mozart in morning!” he said.
Classical 94.5 WNED’s new Monday – Friday on air lineup:
Mark Swarts: 6 – 11 am
Anna Whistler: 11 am – 3 pm
Mark Michaud: 3 – 7 pm
Stratton Rawson: 7 pm – Midnight
